All public study areas (excluding the Group Study Rooms, and the Silent Study Area) will observe "Library Quiet" – i.e., occasional and limited low conversation or discussion. Conversations of any length should be continued in a Group Study Room, or outside the Library. Expressly forbidden are:

  • using audiovisual devices without headphones
  • excessive or disruptive conversations or cell phone use
  • any other activity which is inconsistent with activities such as studying, reading, use of library materials, and other similar conduct normally associated with the use of a college library
