The Library’s periodical collection consists of both print and electronic subscriptions. Currently, the Standish Library’s electronic periodical subscriptions packages consist of publisher collections (Science Direct, Springer, Wiley, and Sage Publications), aggregator collections (EBSCO and ProQuest.), full text databases (JSTOR,  PsycArticles, Science Direct) and Open Access collections (Directory of Open Access Journals and Highwire).  The Library continues to explore other electronic journal possibilities.

It is recognized that some periodicals (newsletters, popular magazines, trade publications, etc.) have a useful short term function.  These will be acquired as space and budget allow.

The library cannot afford to subscribe to a title in multiple formats.  If a title becomes available in full-text image format from one of the electronic periodical packages available at the library, the print subscription will be considered for cancelation.
